Level 2 – Intermediate Implant Placement:

Expanding Clinical Confidence Through Live Surgery

Level 2 – Intermediate Implant Placement is designed for licensed dentists who already place implants and are ready to expand their clinical capabilities through more complex, real-world surgical scenarios. This course builds directly on foundational implant principles and moves clinicians into intermediate procedures performed on live patients under close faculty supervision.

This is not a simulation-based or observation-only program. Dentists participate directly in live-patient surgery, gaining experience that translates immediately into increased confidence and broader case acceptance in private practice.

Purpose of Level 2 Training

The goal of Level 2 is to help dentists move beyond basic implant placement and begin managing a wider range of clinical indications predictably and safely. Participants learn how to evaluate more complex cases, refine surgical technique, and integrate advanced concepts into everyday implant workflows.

Level 2 serves as the natural progression after completing Level 1 – Basic Implantology and prepares clinicians for advanced posterior and full-arch procedures.

Live-Patient Surgical Education Without Shortcuts

All Level 2 training is delivered through live-patient surgery. Dentists are actively involved in diagnosis, treatment planning, and execution rather than observing from the sidelines.

Each participant benefits from:

  • Live-patient surgical experience
  • One doctor per chair with dedicated clinical support
  • Small groups limited to three to four dentists
  • Continuous chairside mentorship from experienced faculty
  • Real-time decision-making and complication management

This format ensures that intermediate skills are developed in realistic clinical conditions.

Clinical Skills and Techniques Covered

Level 2 – Intermediate Implant Placement focuses on expanding both technical ability and clinical judgment.

Training includes:

Dentists learn not only how to perform these procedures, but when and why to apply them.

Advanced Diagnosis and Planning

  • CBCT-driven case evaluation
  • Risk assessment for extraction and anterior cases
  • Surgical sequencing and workflow optimization

Intermediate Surgical Procedures

  • Immediate extraction and implant placement
  • Anterior implant placement considerations
  • Multi-unit implant positioning
  • Introduction to guided surgery protocols
  • Managing posterior site challenges

Grafting and Biologic Enhancement

  • Advanced bone grafting techniques
  • PRF and PRP integration
  • Socket preservation concepts

Mentorship-Driven Learning Environment

Level 2 courses are intentionally limited to preserve a true mentorship experience. Faculty members remain chairside throughout each procedure, providing guidance while allowing clinicians to develop independence and confidence.

All instruction is delivered by practicing implant clinicians who perform these procedures routinely in real clinical environments.
